2 Objects of the Association
The Objects for which the Association is established are to:
- seek to establish membership groups of the association in every local community in Australia over time;
- to engage with and provide a voice to the local communities so their issues, needs and wants, related to the charitable areas listed below, can be prioritised and presented in a simple and cohesive way to Local Councils, State / Territory and Federal Governments;
- Charitable aims to be addressed on a local community basis:
a. Promoting reconciliation, mutual respect and tolerance between groups of individuals that are in Australia
b. Advancing culture
c. Promoting or protecting human rights
d. Advancing social or public welfare
e. Advancing the security or safety of Australia or the Australian public
f. Advancing the natural environment
g. Advancing health
h. Advancing education
i. Preventing or relieving the suffering of animals
j. Any other purpose beneficial to the general public that may reasonably be regarded as analogous to, or within the spirit of, any of the purposes mentioned in the subtypes above.
- seek to unite local communities around the most common and highest priorities of the charitable areas listed above that the majority of people in the communities are concerned about;
- in consultation with the local communities, seek to identify the potential and most direct and acceptable solutions to the highest priority issues, needs and wants related to the charitable areas listed above;
- provide education, training, mentoring and financial support for initiatives in local communities, that represent the needs and issues in local communities relating to the charitable areas listed above;
- as and when Federal Government policy allows, apply for grants, funding and other financial or in-kind support to address areas related to the charitable areas listed above;
- as and when State Government policy allows, apply for grants, funding and other financial or in-kind support to address areas related to the charitable areas listed above;
- as and when Local Government policy allows, apply for grants, funding and other financial or in-kind support to address areas related to the charitable areas listed above;
- ensure the proposed development of any facilities and the local community embrace the ideals of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 and other environmental and ecological initiatives, including climate change adaption;
- undertake fundraising activities and events to support the association’s aims to address areas related to the charitable areas listed above;
- take part in any other commercial or non-commercial activity as deemed beneficial to the interests or financial needs of the Association to address areas related to the charitable areas listed above;
- carry out all other tasks or activities which are necessary or incidental to the achievement of any of the objects of the Association to address areas related to the charitable areas listed above.

In pursuing its objects, the Association will establish and maintain appropriate relationships with its members and other organisations, institutions and individuals in NSW and throughout Australia, so as to facilitate the objects of the association to address areas related to the charitable areas listed above.

The association members and leadership are to understand that the operation of the organisation is to be strictly limited to the pursuance of issues and needs to address areas related to the charitable areas listed above.
Any other community issues that may be raised from time to time that do not relate to the charitable areas listed above are not a permissible area of operation of the organisation and could force the loss of Charitable registration immediately.
